Lesson Length: 30 minutes or 60 minutes
We are firmly committed to giving all of our students a quality and well rounded music education. North Woods Music Studio students will learn a variety of skills in their lessons. We put strong emphasis on the skill of learning to read staff music through different technical exercises, music theory activities, sight reading/singing, and a variety of games. Students will gain a better understanding and appreciation for the music world in lessons. Though each student will have a primary instrument that we focus on, all students participate in studio listening projects and are encouraged to attend masterclasses that focus on many different musical areas.
We want our students to grow to love music. We are not out to create the next child prodigy, we simply want our students to grow in understanding, skill, and appreciation of music in all of it's varying forms.
Animal Adventures in Music
What is it?
10 colorful levels, each level introducing a new instrument, new music theory concepts, and a new animal friend! Each lesson is divided into three segments: book time, rug time, and stage time. Students are engaged in this one-on-one setting learning about instruments, working through colorful and interactive workbooks, and playing a variety of games!
